Free League Launches Dragonbane
Free League Publishing has announced the digital release of Dragonbane, the new edition of legendary Swedish tabletop RPG Drakar och Demoner. What’s Inside the Dragonbane Core Set
The Dragonbane core set features a complete Rules book, an adventures book with eleven interconnected adventures f, five pre-generated characters, and over 70 custom cards for treasure, adventures, initiative, and more. The core set also includes a map of the Misty Vale setting, crafted by renowned cartographer Francesca Baerald.
Third-Party License for Creatives

Drakar och Demoner
Drakar och Demoner (DoD), or Dragons and Demons, is a Swedish tabletop roleplaying game (RPG) that was first published in 1982. The game was designed by Stefan Jacobsson and Anders Blixt. DoD is set in a fantasy world which is inspired by Norse mythology. Free League Publishing has launched a new edition of DoD, titled Dragonbane. Dragonbane is a reimagining of the original game, and it features a number of new features and improvements.
Dragonbane TTRPG Setting
One of the most notable changes in Dragonbane is the setting. The original DoD was set in Midgård, but Dragonbane is set in a new world called Agon. Agon is a dark and dangerous world, where dragons and demons are the dominant forces. Players take on the role of heroes who must battle the forces of evil and save the world.
Dragonbane updates the character creation system to bring DoD into modern gaming. The original DoD character creation system was complex and time-consuming. Dragonbane’s character creation system is much simpler and easier to use. Dragonbane also features a new combat system to be based on the d20 system.
In addition to these changes, Dragonbane also features a number of new races, classes, and abilities. Players can now choose from a wider variety of characters to create, and they have more options to customize their characters’ abilities. Overall, Dragonbane is a faithful reimagining of Drakar och Demoner. The game features a number of new features and improvements, but it still retains the core elements that made the original game so popular.
