TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Florida

Independent game creator Rue Vincent has joined with a multitude of TTRPG makers to bring the TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Florida bundle to itch this week. The promotional bundle will help support charity partners Zebra Youth and Transinclusive Group.  For the next 24 hours you can get 505 items (a total of $2159 in value) for $5. RPG titles include popular indie releases like Wanderhome, Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Gubat Banwa, and FIST. If you love independent RPGs and zine culture this is a fantastic deal. More importantly you can help support a cause that is important to many people in the tabletop community and impacts all of us as humans.

Free Call of Cthulhu Solo Campaign

Chaosium is also supporting this event and bundle by offering a free copy of Alone Against the Dark campaign for Call of Cthulhu to anyone who purchases the Trans Rights in Florida RPG bundle. Anyone who purchases the bundle can receive a PDF copy of Alone Against the Dark by filling out this form.

Itchto Downloader Tool

If you have trouble downloading all 505 items from Itch, a helpful creator named Peter Taylor on Github has created a python script called the Itchio Downloader Tool to help you grab all of your files at once. This is a python script (not an app), so you’ll need to know a bit about working in terminal mode and running scripts to get it working.

Trans Rights for Florida

Creative Game Life is invested in creating safe spaces and supporting human rights for all people. We also have family and loved ones who live in Florida so we’re aligned with protecting the rights of LBGTQ+ communities, especially in schools where Florida has created some questionable situations. Florida’s right-leaning government has passed a number of bills that impact the health and safety of our communities including gender affirming healthcare, a ban on speaking about LGBTQ+ topics in schools, and bans on trans participation in youth sports.

Zebra Youth and Transinclusive Group

Zebra Youth is a network of organizations which provide services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender people and all youth (LGBTQ+) ages 13 – 24. Founded in 2017, Transinclusive Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that advocates to protect and defend equality for all transgender and LGBTQ+ individuals in South Florida. Transinclusive group builds trust and relationships with community providers to end discrimination, stigma, and racial disparities to address social determinants of health.
