Mork Borg Tabletop RPG Game

Mörk Borg has quickly become one of our favorite tabletop role playing games due to it’s fast play, fun theme, and incredible amount of third party content for adventures. From the Mörk Borg Cult to the countless adventures on itch and DriveThruRPG, there is a lot of content to keep up with. In an effort to organize this information we’ve collected our favorite Mörk Borg resources in one place for easy digging.

Official Mörk Borg Content

Credit must go first to Pelle Nilsson, Johan Nohr, and the incredible team they work with to create the Mörk Borg website, support the Mörk Borg Cult, and continually lend their hand to third party creations for the game. The official website for this game hosts a link to numerous adventures, characters, third party creations, links and resources. Definitely the first place to start digging for your next adventure.

The Monster Approaches

The Monster Approaches

The Monster Approaches is a minimalist site gives you a quickly rolled monster to encounter. Stats include HP, Morale, Armor, and Stomp. Details include the monster’s lair, ability, and loot you may find. You may find descriptions such as, “a yarn-ball of sinews and guts with salt pouring from its mouth. It’s haunting. More than anything, it wants to revel in fear. Mutilates or traumatizes rather than kills.”

DNGNGEN

DNGNGEN Dungeon Generator for Mörk Borg

Karl Druid programmed this random dungeon creator that offers variables like danger level, NPCs you may encounter, distinctive features, and your motivation for going into such a desolate place. DNGNGEN is a useful scenario generation tool for your next dungeon crawl.

SCVMBIRTHER

SCVMBIRTHER РM̦rk Borg Character Generator

SCVMBIRTHER is a simple andbeautifully designed interface that randomly rolls a Mörk Borg character for you based on choices from the original rulebook. Don’t like the Esoteric Hermit that was rolled? You can “kill this one” and roll another. Perfectly on-theme for this game. You can also add characters from the Mork Borg Cult by clicking “Enable MBC content” at the bottom of the page. The site also offers quick download of your character to print and play.

Noteworthy Mork Börg Zines and Books

Mörk Borg Cult HereticThis is a zine of community-made misadventure and malice, for use with MÖRK BORG or other rules-light dark fantasy games. While much of this content is available for free on the Mork Borg website (see above), this zine is beautifully printed and probably the first thing you’ll want to pick up in print after the main rulebook.

Mörk Borg Cult Feretory – This is a sinful zine full of community made classes, adventures and horrible treasures for use with MÖRK BORG or other rules-light dark fantasy games. This is the first collection of third party content that was published by Free League Publishing. This content is available for free to download. But like Heretic, you’ll want this volume on your shelf for it’s beautiful artwork and printing.

30 Days of Mörk BorgForty-four pages of madness and mayhem to make your players suffer in The Dying World! Plumb the depths of Death’s Fort in search of the riches hidden within. Scale the volcano of The Shattered Tunnels to take on the evil Blood Wizard. Wander the Sarkash in search of The Shrine of Evil. Three unique offerings for MÖRK BORG consisting of a procedurally generated dungeon, a point crawl, and a hex crawl; all in one tome.

The Valley of Forbidden Churches – This is an action-packed zine designed for use with the MÖRK BORG tabletop RPG. Presented as a hex crawl, a dozen (mostly) abandoned churches still contain relics and treasures, and a few of them hide entrances to the tunnels below the valley. The Demonworm Tunnels are a point-crawl where you’ll generate features by rolling on (or choosing from) a table. In the tunnels, you risk running into the deadly Demon Worm, but the gold and gems might be worth it. If you’re a careful explorer, you may be lucky enough to discover the Silver City, a dreamlike ruin of former beauty.

Crawling Death – Below The Dying Forest This is an ever-shifting dungeon crawl. This book contains new monsters, new occult treasures, new scrolls, and more than 50 rooms! What is Crawling Death: Below the Dying Forest? A 55 room, ever-shifting dungeon crawl Compatible with Mörk Borg with randomly generated dungeons.
